What year is it?! - Updates, New Tech, Life

I've taken some time to revamp the blog and I'm not quite done yet.. Of course I'm still working on it here and there, but I'm ready to slowly ease back into blogging on my free time. (Which isn't much, forgive me...)

Herro everyone, it's been a while. I've been pretty much consumed with work for the past year...Where did my life go?! I'm sure everyone goes through the same situation when they first become a working professional. How I took the student life for granted...

I have so many amazing products that I can't wait to share with everyone, but the weather has been super poopy in northern California and so I haven't been able to prepare pictures. One of the major changes since the last time I posted is that I have finally ditched my 5 year old HP laptop for a MacBook Pro with Retina display. And holy mother of god... it. is. gorgeous. I never really payed much attention to laptops and computers while I was in school because the only things I did on them were homework, Facebook, and YouTube. I did most of my gaming on Xbox and PS3, so I had no reason to blow a bunch of money I didn't have on a laptop I didn't need. In fact, I didn't really care about Apple and at one point I lived with three other  roommates who all had Macbooks, but forever alone me was perfectly content with my shitty $400 laptop that can't run on battery longer than 30 minutes.

But then, everything changed last year when I got my first smartphone.. The iPhone 4s. The games, photo apps, DUAL cameras, and convenience of chatting apps consumed my life and I was never the same again. Hah. Granted, I still am figuring out how to do some things.. such as how exactly I'm going to use my external and transfer all my files from my old laptop and format everything... Auwehfw

Next to my daddy's Macbook
Additionally, I have also switched cameras to the Sony Nex-5R. Ok, I hadn't switched my previous camera, the Panasonic Lumix LX-3 since 2008.. With good reason! There were never any cameras that satisfied my criteria..  or those of a vain girl that likes to take pictures of herself... and food. It was simple. I just wanted a camera that could produce good quality photos, a swivel display for ease of self-shots, and a sensor for remote. Some of you might ask.. Why don't you just get a DSLR then? Don't most satisfy all of those requirements? Agreed, DSLRs do produce a superior quality that micro four thirds can't even try to compare to and easily cover those features. But, since the outbreak of Olympus PEN's I was hopeful that somewhere, someday, someone would make a micro four thirds would be decent enough to make me happy. The Sony Nex-F3 was so beautiful.. and had the whole package. The flip out display, decent quality, aesthetically pleasing design.. All but the remote sensor. I was desperate to a point where I was on the verge of just buying the Nex-F3 and settling, when I came across the press release for the Nex-5R. And at the point I knew it was the one. It includes a WiFi feature that allows you to use your Iphone or Android phone to sync with the display and control the shutter release. Super high-tech vanity shit right here.

I've also made a switch in the commenting system over to Disqus. Some of the comments were synced correctly, but it looks like some may have had a problem transferring over.

Here's a spam of some pictures that may or may not make any sense.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE LOVER!!

The sony NE5 looks really good! The swivel display makes it tempting I must say o__o
I'm currently looking for a new camera and have been looking at the olympus PEN and four third cameras but haven't made up my mind on what I want yet. I'm still using the trusty little lx3 although it is starting to fall apart (litterally).

Can't wait to see more entries from you babe! x

  6. I swear when I get home from work everyday it's like I'm running on the last bar of battery ahaha! Yeah, ever since I started using my iPhone to take pictures of everything, I don't even want to carry a camera around, but instantly regret when I look through my grainy pics :(

  9. I'M SORRY FOR DISAPPEARING LOVERRRRR!!! >3<

I think no matter how awesome it is, it also multiplies in how ridiculous you look taking self shots in public... I really wanted to upgrade to the Panasonic GF5 or something, but I was swept with the wifi features *~*

I'll tryyyy!!! I really will! I'm just been busy with career stuff, house stuff, and health stuff!!! Gahh real life adult responsibilities are so hfeowiahifh!

  11. Glad to see you're finally back! Jesus, you're photo quality is amazing. No matter what camera one gives me, it all looks the same because I have no skills in photography. :( I really look forward to seeing more food pictures from you. *_*

Can't believe you're a Mac now though! I could never... XD I'm a PC all the way. But I do agree that I can never be without a smart phone ever again.

Looking forward to you updating more in the future! :)

I've been reading a lot of food blogs so I'm trying to improve!
Yeah, I can't wrap my head around some of the concepts because I've used PC since I was in elementary... Bah! I'll figure it out soon *~* Thanks babe! I want to see more cute pics of you too ;D

  15. Awwww, thank you Athena! I always love reading your comments!

Work is a whole different story... A couple months ago I was so busy, no joke, I actually got really sick... Of course I had to still keep up a strong image for work everyday, but it took a serious toll on my health!

Either way I have been working hard and have little time to do much else, but I'm trying to balance out things and try to divide some time to doing the things I love again! ♡

  16. I feel like I've aged 19041290 years in the past 10 months.. Hah! Maybe I've just been shocked into a state of old lady-ness every since my coworker guessed my age is 30...

I think the new features make it worth it! Although the Nex-6 is coming out and it's pretty godly too! *~*
