Typically over the holidays and wintertime I tend to shop more. Whether it be online or in stores, I always get excited for spring and summer arriving as it used to mean spring break and a godly 2-3 months off for summer vacation as a student. Although I do not have the luxury of vacations as long as I did previously, I haven't broken my shopping habits either! *Stares furiously at my spending journal*
A friend of mine was visiting Japan and managed to pick me up a couple items I've been wanting to try out for a while. I have very high hopes for these items as I followed the ranking and reviews on cosme.net, a site focused on beauty and makeup products based out of Japan. (Kind of comparable to makeupalley in the States)
The packaging and quality of the items are immaculate and the prices are quite affordable given the quality of the products.
Kose Esprique Foundation Brush, Ettusais Mineral White BB Cream (Shade 10 Light Beige), Canmake Creamy Touch Rouge (2 Misty Orange, 3 Sweet Cherry), Canmake Cream Cheek (5 Sweet Apricot, 7 Coral Orange, 3 Strawberry Whip)
I'm pretty excited to try out the Kose Esprique foundation brush as it's gained really high reviews and earned the number two ranking spot for brushes. I recently picked up the USA counter equivalent of the Japanese drugstore 131 Shiseido foundation brush and have been loving it. I don't know how I ever applied foundation without that brush and I have high hopes for the Esprique foundation brush as well. It retails for 1,260 円 and is super dense and soft. I am planning on doing a side-by-side comparison to the Shiseido foundation brush, but mine requires some heavy duty cleaning before being picture ready.
The Esprique foundation brush reviews can be found on cosme.net, here.
A friend also picked up from Princess Lee lashes from Taiwan for me, which are the ultimate natural lashes. They have a comfortable band and have natural criss-cross lashes with longer lengths fanning out on the ends. I think I accidentally bought a fake version of these lashes before and they were hard and super stiff! I'll do a comparison sometime when I can dig out the fakes.
Also a cute bejeweled collar shirt from Urban Outfitters.
