Seven Things About Me:
  1. I was born and raised in California, but my parents are from China. My parents thought I was mute because I didn't start speaking until I was 5. (At which point, they wish I never started because I was a HUGE troll when I was a child) My mother would speak to me in Mandarin, my father in Cantonese, my grandmother in Kun Ming dialect, and my school teacher in English. Once they stopped speaking to me in so many different languages, I never stopped talking again. After that I continued on to learn Chinese, French, and Japanese. 我不喜歡茄子. Je n'aime pas les aubergines. 茄子が大嫌いですッ

  2. My favorite animal is the jellyfish. I realize they're poisonous, but there's just something hauntingly beautiful about them.

  3. I started traveling at a very young age, so young that I don't remember much about many places I've been to. One of my favorite places being France because my grandparents lived together after graduating university in China. They continued to attend medical school there and as a child, my grandmother would tell me about Paris and speak French to me. And even though I didn't understand a word she said, it sounded so romantic.

  4. I used to be a tomboy when I was a teenager. 'Nough said.

  5. I love music and tried to learn as many different instruments as I could get my hands on. I've always wanted to learn the "Gu Zheng", but I didn't have enough time. I played the flute, violin, cello, guitar, bass, and piano. Unfortunately, I don't remember how to play any instruments besides the piano because I practiced daily for 13 years of my life. It's mind-blowing how much you forget after not playing for even just a year

  6. Video games. When I was living in apartments during university, I used to stay up all night till 7AM playing Left 4 Dead or COD with my friends. (They're not imaginary, I swear ;__;) I usually play on Xbox, but recently I've been playing Borderlands 2 and Assassin's Creed on my laptop. I'm lusting after Bioshock Infinite...
  7. I'm a huge klutz and fractured my thumb when I was in high school by closing a car door... on my own hand. This was all right before my last piano evaluation and smack in the middle of tennis season (I was on our school's team). After this incident, I've learned that I will never be ambidextrous and trying to play tennis with your opposite hand can be dangerous for your opponent. Especially when a racket comes flying at their face.
I'll be posting about my New York trip last month tomorrow! I may split it into two posts because I have quite a lot of photos.. I took a quick trip to LA last weekend to see some dear friends and departed from Norcal after work on Friday and arrived at 3:30AM. Needless to say, I've has about 12 hours sleep total from the weekend so it's been brutal.

Get Money, get paid, fuck bitches.

I'm going to have to think really hard if I were to do this type of post too! you also seem to have lived a really privileged life - that's wonderful :) I wish I could have learned how to play a (REAL) instrument and not the fckin recorder in grade 5. 4. Of course you do! You always take the best face and close up eye shots *A* swooon~ I miss yo face! Hahahaha, work hard, play hard! I started working when I was 13 so I could try to do the things I wanted.. mainly saving up for instruments and CDs! ..Er.. yeah, a lot of people still remember me by my tomboy phase because I thought I was all badass .__.;;, the transition phase between that and now was horrible.. Wearing girly clothes with your legs open is NOT attractive!
