*✦ Canmake Creamy Touch Rouge Review & Swatches ✦*

Canmake has been a favorite drug store brand of mine for it's cute packaging and fabulous products. Not only is there very good color payoff from their products, the fair price tag justifies the gorgeous new toys!

I recently picked up two new Canmake lipsticks from the Creamy Touch Rouge range in 02 Misty Orange and 03 Sweet Cherry. I'm a huge fan of orange or peach toned lippies and this orange has turned out to be one of my favorites at the moment. These lipsticks feature gold packaging and a creamy formula that has a shiny finishing without any glitter particles. I'm not really a fan of glittery lipsticks because I tend to find that the glitter texture isn't as smooth as matte colors. These lipsticks contain hyaluronic acid, collagen, avocado oil, and raspberry extract so they are actually very moisturizing and have awesome staying power.

Description from Canmake's official website:
"A new texture! Velvety semi-matte lips!!!
Creamy texture and high color that goes on just the way it looks in the pot.
A rouge that creates plump lips ♥ that feel great, like chocolate ganache.

Semi-matte lips, like chocolate ganache
● No lamé or pearl particles. Defying the common wisdom that "matte lip colors = dryness", this keeps your lips moist! Achieves a natural gloss with minimal dazzle or stickiness!
● Creates soft, plump semi-matte lips.
You'll get hooked ♥ Creamy touch
● Smoothness that you'll feel from the instant you apply it to your lips. You'll get hooked on the rich, creamy texture and the way it clings to your lips ♥
Superb coverage with no need for concealer!
● Just one coat thoroughly covers your natural lip color. Achieves just the same color on your lips as it appears in the pot.
● Clings tightly to your lips, so will not smudge even if you apply lip gloss over it."

I know 01 Marshmellow Pink must be a popular choice with many ladies, but I decided to go with the other two as I have way more pinks than I can use at the moment. I'm so glad I did because the colors are amazing! Misty Orange is a nude orange that is actually quite pale on the lips. It doesn't require a lip concealer because the colors are so opaque it's exactly as it looks in the tubes! I tend to shy away from reds with fear that I would look like an 80 year old dragon lady, but Sweet Cherry is a beautiful allooks fun and flirty.

Pros:
- Amazing color payment and 3 cute choices (01 - Marshmellow Pink, 02 Misty Orange, 03 Sweet Cherry)
- Cute and sleek packaging
- Moisturizing
- Long lasting
- Good price

Cons:
- Hard to purchase out of Asia
- Inflated prices online

Hope everyone had a fantastic Mother's Day! Since my mother was going on about wanting to eat Korean food we went to have kbbq at a place she heard good reviews about on some Chinese website. After cooking the meat, the waiter asked if we would like kimchi fried rice, which they would cook at the table. After he brought the rice and started to fry it in front of us, she asks him "Is this the same fried rice they eat in Korea dramas? I watch a lot of Korean dramas and it looks so yummy so I want to try it too!" *facepalm* -continues to listen to her talk about Korean dramas to the poor waiter for another 5 minutes-

Nice review. I have always heard good things about CANMAKE like their blush and eyelash treatment, but haven't had a chance to try them out. Where did you pick up these babies at? ヾ(´・ω・`)

  9. Their blushes are so good! I'm planning on picking up all the other colors from the cream cheek range! I had a friend pick them up for me in Japan, although I did buy some in Hong Kong and Taiwan before too!

    ReplyDelete
  10. They are really hard to get in California too! I think Hong Kong probably has the closest prices to Japan and everywhere else is marked up pretty high..
